Description
Forest Floor Bedding is a completely natural substrate made from cypress, recommended for terrariums for many species of snakes, lizards, tortoises, frogs, toads, salamanders, spiders, and other invertebrates. It is great for live plants and egg incubation. It is a very beneficial substrate for many species of tortoises. However, feeding tortoises should take place in a separate container because while eating, the animal may accidentally ingest the bedding. Instructions for use: pour the contents into the terrarium. For all species of frogs, salamanders, and insects, the bedding layer should be 5-8 cm thick. For burrowing toads and spiders, as well as for live plants, 8-10 cm. All tropical species of reptiles and amphibians require a minimum of 50% humidity. The bedding should be periodically moistened. A ZooMed hygrometer can be used to monitor the humidity level in the terrarium. The substrate should be replaced at least every 6 months or when an unpleasant odor persists in the terrarium.
