Description
It increases total hardness and stabilizes it at the optimal level of balance with carbonate hardness. To adjust KH, it is recommended to use the Alkaline Buffer preparation. Unlike competing products, Equlibrium does not contain sodium chloride (table salt). Both of these elements are not quickly utilized by plants and moreover, the presence of chlorine can do more harm than good to the tank's flora. Competing preparations often contain sodium chloride (which reduces production costs), which when introduced to the aquarium can impair plant growth. Furthermore, sodium plays no role in regulating carbonate hardness. Equlibrium contains only calcium, magnesium, and potassium salts, which not only support fish metabolism but are also beneficial for plants. To increase the total hardness by 1meq/l (3dH) when setting up a new tank or during water changes, it is recommended to add 16g (1 tablespoon) of the preparation for every 80 liters of aquarium volume. Equlibrium can be added directly to the water, though a more effective method of dosing is to mix it with about a liter of water. The resulting solution is slightly milky, and when added to the tank causes mild cloudiness, which disappears after 15-30 minutes.
Guidelines: Do not add Equlibrium when topping up evaporated water. The preparation is intended for use with distilled water, deionized water, or from a reverse osmosis filter. In the case of water from another source, it is recommended to measure the total hardness beforehand. Plants show varying tolerances to GH value, however, it is recommended to maintain it at the level of 1-2meq/l (3-6 dH). Similar values apply to carbonate hardness.
