Seachem Cichlid Lake Salt - salt for cichlids 500g

Although the qualitative composition of chemical substances in large rift lakes is more or less similar, their quantities can vary. The Cichlid Lake Salt formula has been developed so that it only needs to be added when setting up a new tank and during water changes. Additionally, its dosage can be modified depending on the origin of the fish.

Many similar products primarily contain Epsom salt (hydrated magnesium sulfate) and sodium bicarbonate (baking soda), which does not reflect the mineral composition of water in African lakes (mainly lacking calcium and potassium).

Usage:
All values are given for 40 liters of water! TANGANIKA: 11 g (1 and 1/2 teaspoons). MALAWI: 5.5 g (3/4 teaspoon). VICTORIA: 3.6 g (1/2 teaspoon). Buffering reaction: for proper pH and carbonate hardness, it is recommended to use Tanganyika Buffer (pH 9.0-9.4) and Malawi/Victoria Buffer (pH 7.8 – 8.4).

TIPS: add salt when setting up a new tank and each time you change the water (adjust the amount of product to the volume of water being added). Do not add to water intended for replenishing losses due to evaporation. Before adding to the tank, dissolve the portion of salt in purified water.
