Description
In the home as in nature - a refuge for fish and plants
Fish and invertebrates should feel as comfortable in the aquarium as they do in nature. Prepare aquarium water with the appropriate biotope and protect the inhabitants of the aquarium. The water of Lakes Malawi and Tanganika has, like many tropical waters, a certain special feature: its carbonate hardness is higher than its total hardness. This is due to the fact that sodium sources supply the lakes with many carbonates that are associated with sodium rather than calcium or magnesium. Since only calcium and magnesium count towards total hardness, these sodium carbonates do increase carbonate hardness, but not total hardness. Therefore, in both lakes (and also in many other tropical waters) KH is higher than GH. For the proper breeding of animals from these lakes, it is advisable to replicate these special water parameters. This allows for the addition of JBL Aquadur Malawi-Tanganjika.
Advantages of the Water Conditioning Preparation JBL:
Providing important mineral salts, quickly raising the appropriate carbonate hardness for these species, stabilizing pH values, improving well-being, health, and breeding readiness of cichlids, increasing the hatching rate of young fish, enhancing growth and color vibrancy, ideal water parameters as in nature.
Optimal dosing with the included measuring spoon. 250g of salt for 800l of Malawi Lake water or 300l of Tanganika Lake water.
