Why is UVB and UVA heating important?
Just as humans need sunlight, reptiles require specialized lighting to develop properly. Without proper lighting, reptiles are at risk of diseases, particularly metabolic bone disease. With ReptiSun® lighting, your reptile can live long and healthy, providing you with many years of joy.

UVA Radiation:

Why ReptiSun 10.0 Mini?
This is a compact bulb used and recommended by zoos, veterinarians, and top terrarium enthusiasts. It simulates sunlight and helps turtles develop strong, healthy shells. It emits 10% UVB and 30% UVA.

Bulb Distance:
The bulb will provide effective operation up to 23cm from the basking spot.
Note: The distance between the bulb and the animal should never be less than 10cm. The lamp must be mounted above the animal, never to the side.

When to replace the bulb?
The bulb will provide beneficial UVB radiation to your pet for a period of 12 months when used for 10 to 12 hours daily. Record the date of first use and replace it after 12 months.
