What kind of filtration does the CUP filter provide? 

- mechanical filtration
The filter has a sponge responsible for mechanical filtration. The cylindrical sponge is the first filtering medium contained in the filter. 

- biological filtration
The biological filtration is handled by a ceramic insert with an exceptionally porous structure. The insert is responsible for breaking down harmful NH3, NH4, and NO2. 

- chemical filtration 
Chemical filtration is helpful in combating algae, diseases, etc. Various inserts are used for this purpose. The CUP filter provides space for such inserts right next to the biological insert. 

- sterilization with UV-C lamp
Sterilization is one of the best ways to prevent the formation of algae, diseases, or mold. The lamp effectively kills all spores in both the early and later stages of their development. 

Is operating the CUP filter difficult? 
The filter is extremely easy to operate. Each filtering insert has its own container, making maintenance or replacement of inserts straightforward and not time-consuming.

Water pump:
The water pump is extremely energy-efficient and ultra-quiet. The water outlet can be adjusted within a range of 180 degrees. 

Operating the UV lamp in the CUP filter:
The lamp has a separate switch. Therefore, you can adjust the duration of the lamp's operation, thereby regulating the water quality in the aquarium. The UV lamp bulb is standard and can be replaced if necessary. The filter housing has a light indicating the proper operation of the bulb. 

How to install the filter in the aquarium?
The filter is fully submersible. It has a strong holder with three suction cups. 

Aeration in the CUP filter: 
The filter has an additional option for aerating the water through the air inlet. The inlet has adjustable efficiency.
