Description
Aquaforest TestPro Calcium is designed for quick measurement of calcium concentration in marine aquariums.
Calcium plays an important role in biological processes to ensure balanced growth and development of organisms. In the marine aquarium, it is very important to continuously monitor the concentration of calcium, magnesium and carbonate hardness (or alkalinity). The calcium concentration in natural seawater can be 400-450 mg/l (ppm). The test is sufficient for 55-65 determinations of aquarium calcium concentration, within the range indicated in the table.
Aquaforest TestPro Magnesium is designed for the rapid measurement of magnesium concentration in the marine aquarium.
Magnesium plays an important role in biological processes, taking part in the skeletal structure of hard corals and chemically providing buffer capacity and preventing excessive calcium and bicarbonate precipitation in the water. Constant monitoring of calcium, magnesium and carbonate hardness concentrations is very important in the marine aquarium. The concentration of magnesium in natural seawater can be 1260-1500 mg/l (ppm). The test is sufficient for 55-60 determinations of magnesium concentration in the aquarium, within the range indicated in the table.
Aquaforest TestPro Alkalinity is designed for quick measurement of carbonate hardness, or alkalinity, in the marine aquarium.
In themarine aquarium it is very important to continuously monitor the concentration of calcium, magnesium and carbonate hardness (or alkalinity). The recommended KH level for a marine aquarium is 6.5 - 8.0 dKH. The test is sufficient for 78-100 carbonate hardness determinations in the aquarium, within the range indicated in the table.
