Description
Healthy aquarium with nearly natural conditions
The correct water parameters in an aquarium depend on the fish and plant population. Also, if the water looks clear, it may be contaminated. Poor values can lead to diseases or algae in the aquarium. For a healthy aquarium with nearly natural conditions, regular monitoring and adjustment of water parameters are essential. With JBL water tests, you can quickly, easily, and very precisely determine all significant water parameters.
The set allows for precise measurement of the following values:
pH Test: Acidity of water from 3.0 to 10
pH Test: Acidity of water from 6.0 to 7.6
pH Test: Acidity of water from 7.4 to 9.0
O2 Test: Determination of oxygen content
CO2 Test: Determination of carbon dioxide content for strong plant growth
GH Test: Determination of total hardness
KH Test: Stability of water pH (carbonate hardness)
PO4 Test: Determination of phosphate content (cause of algae and nutrient for plants)
NH4 / NH3 Test: Reading of non-toxic ammonium, determination of toxic ammonia from the table
NO2 Test: Determination of toxic nitrogen compound nitrites for fish
NO3 Test: Determination of nitrate content (cause of algae and nutrient for plants)
Fe Test: Determination of iron content for fertilization control
K Test: Determination of potassium, a nutrient for plants
Cu Test: Toxic heavy metal for invertebrates. Also important for setting therapeutic doses of medications
SiO2 Test: Determination of silicates (silicic acid) as a cause of diatoms
To determine the CO2 content, it is enough to measure the pH and KH. From these two values, the CO2 content in the water can be read from the attached table.
