What is a resistive thermostat? How does it work?
The thermostat maintains the user-programmed temperature in the terrarium based on temperature readings from the probe. Unlike regular thermostats, it delivers the appropriate power dose to the heat source. This means that if, for example, a heating cable "turned on" at 100% power heats too much, the thermostat limits its power by reducing electricity consumption to, say, 75% of its capacity. This operation not only reduces electricity consumption but also prolongs the life of the heat sources and protects the terrarium from the bulbs turning on and off too frequently, reminiscent of a disco.

The difference in thermostat operation based on the example of a bulb:
A regular thermostat, to achieve a temperature of, say, 30°C using a bulb, turns it on for 2 minutes and turns it off for 1 minute. Then these actions are repeated.
The Komodo Dimmer thermostat will turn on the bulb only at 50% power. It maintains a constant appropriate temperature without turning the bulb on and off repeatedly.

Maximum power of heat sources:
Up to 600W. The thermostat can support any number of devices, as long as their total power does not exceed 600W. So, for example: 4 x 100W bulb, 2 x 50W cable, and 2 x 50W mat.
