Seachem Flourite is also suitable for other types of tank. For best results, Flourite can be used as a sole substrate type, although it can also be mixed with other gravels. The use of modifying additives, such as laterite, is not necessary.
Unlike products from other companies, Flourite never needs to be replaced. It is not coated with any chemicals and therefore does not change the water reaction. Although Flourite is already pre-washed, it is recommended to rinse it to remove accumulated dust. Water contamination can also be avoided by slowly filling the tank, avoiding pouring water into one place in a strong stream. The slight turbidity that appears is normal and disappears after 2 - 12 hours.
