Description
ShrimpSand POWDER is a scientifically developed substrate. Created on the basis of natural volcanic soil. Sintered with other essential materials and alkaline elements, it creates a porous, soft structure, ideal for the development of natural bacterial flora. The unique ShrimpSand technology protects the health, proper development and safety of the shrimps. This is done by, absorbing ammonia and pollutants. It also ensures water clarification by absorbing turbidity and discolouration. ShrimpSand corrects the hardness of the water used, and sets the pH buffer, stabilising its value at the ideal pH level of 6.5 for shrimps. POWDER is a substrate with small granules for nano tanks and foreground.
Features of Shrimp Sand:
Safety: it has absorption properties which remove impurities, including ammonia, from the water;
Water clarification: it restores water clarity, removes colours and turbidity caused, for example, by wooden decorative elements inside the aquarium;
Stabilises the pH of the water: it softens the water to levels suitable for the natural habitat of most shrimp species.
Stabilises the pH buffer; Natural bacterial flora: the porous structure of ShrimSand guarantees the development of natural bacterial flora, essential for the proper functioning of the aquarium and for the good condition of the shrimps;
Natural look: it blends in perfectly with the aquarium design, harmonising with the shrimps.
Instruction: Prepare the aquarium, as well as the gravel filter if you have one, pour ShrimpSand into the aquarium so that a minimum 4-6 cm layer forms on the bottom, fill the aquarium with water to approx. 80% of its capacity. After a while, let the water out, do this gently with a hose or a de-icer etc., pour the water back into the aquarium, very carefully, taking care not to direct the water flow directly onto the substrate, after approx. 6-10 hours, the water should reach the expected parameters. Let the shrimps slowly into the aquarium, thus gradually getting used to the water parameters.
The substrate does not need to be rinsed.
