Description
NEO Soil Plant substrate is designed with the ideal conditions for a planted aquarium in mind. The substrate has many features that maintain the appropriate pH, KH, and GH of the water. Additionally, it has a rich composition that supports plant growth.
These attributes are due to special two-component granules of the substrate, which contain various types of soil inside.
The granules are coated with a special sintered clay that prevents the granules from breaking apart and provides excellent protection for the soil contained within against fragmentation and the high pressure that prevails in large aquariums.
Excellent water quality and the rich composition of the substrate improve and accelerate plant growth. It enhances the cellular structure of the plant, strengthening its condition and speeding up cell transformation, significantly increasing the survival rate of freshly planted in Vitro plants, which are usually not initially adapted to life in full immersion.
The soil creates a stable water quality just 7 days after flooding. Due to the special structure of the soil of different varieties inside the granules, this soil has a lower weight and an excellent filtering effect.
In addition to lowering the pH and hardness of the water, this soil also has other positive properties.
For example, bacteria are already present in the soil and become active when the soil comes into contact with water. The bacteria transform harmful substances that could harm shrimp or fish.
The rapid growth of bacteria is possible due to the presence of a nutrient medium for aerobic and anaerobic nitrifying bacteria inside the granules of the substrate. The maturation process of the aquarium is significantly faster and more stable thanks to these features.
The microscopic holes in the coating of the granules increase their surface area, thus increasing the habitat for other important strains of bacteria.
Unlike other substrates, NEO Soil also has adsorptive properties, ensuring excellent water clarity.
