Description
Aqua Soil - Amazonia Ver.2 has been released as a new substrate material ADA. Amazonia Ver.2 is an updated product from the existing Amazonia II made from natural black soil. Amazonia II causes almost no cloudiness and discoloration of the water compared to the original Amazonia.
Since Amazonia II remains the same, the Amazonia Supplement to enhance the nutrient content of the substrate is again available in Amazonia Ver.2. The Amazonia Supplement consists of solid nutrients in the form of pellets with even higher nitrogen content as the main nutrient, combined with components abundantly present in the original Amazonia, effective for growing aquatic plants. When setting the substrate, adding a portion of the Amazonia supplement under Aqua Soil helps cultivate healthier aquatic plants. Amazonia Ver.2 is easy to use and helps grow healthy aquatic plants. Enjoy beautiful natural aquariums with Amazonia Ver.2.
Fertilizer pellets (supplement sticks) are separately packaged in a small bag and packaged together with the product. This allows for free application of the pellets anywhere in the composition, avoiding so-called inactive spots in the composition (e.g., under stones or roots)
What is ADA Amazonia Ver.2?
It is a completely natural substrate created as a result of soil processing. The substrate retains the properties of natural soil that promote plant growth and stabilize water parameters while gaining resistance to prolonged exposure to water and the prevailing pressure in the aquarium.
What effects does using the ADA Amazonia Ver.2 substrate have?
First of all, it is important to emphasize the high absorbency of the substrate. This ability prevents algae formation by absorbing excess harmful compounds. This advantage will be appreciated by both professional and beginner aquarists.
The substrate is rich in macro and microelements that serve for the rapid and lush growth of aquatic and emergent plants.
What is the difference between Amazonia, Amazonia II, and Ver.2?
Ada Amazonia II is an improved version of Amazonia. It has less NO3, which positively affects the slower and safer start of the tank. Additionally, the improved version does not cause cloudiness of the water during the first few days after setting up the aquarium, which occurred with the previous version of the substrate. Ver.2 also includes fertilizer in the form of sticks. The Amazonia Supplement consists of solid nutrients in the form of pellets with even higher nitrogen content, as the main nutrient combined with components abundantly present in the original Amazonia, effective for growing aquatic plants.
For which aquarium is the Amazonia Ver.2 substrate suitable?
Ada Amazonia II is sufficient for setting up an aquarium from 50l to 80l. It is dedicated to tanks with rich vegetation as well as for wabi-kusa, paludariums, and terrariums in tropical conditions.
Instructions for use:
- Do not rinse before use.
Evenly sprinkle the plant supplement on the bottom of the aquarium or on the POWER SAND substrate. Spread AQUA SOIL evenly on the bottom of the aquarium or on the POWER SAND Advance or Basic substrate. Create a slope towards the front glass of the aquarium to enhance the perspective. Place a plate or board in front of the water pouring to prevent the nutrients from washing out of the substrate. After filling with water, level the AQUA SOIL substrate again using tools such as the SAND FLATTENER. Planting plants is easier when the water level is low enough to just cover the AQUA SOIL substrate. After planting the plants, fill the aquarium with water. Direct the water stream gently onto the plate or board. The water may become cloudy after being poured. This cloudiness disappears after a few hours with a properly functioning filtration system.
Substrate in a Natural Aquarium: is a layer of gravel on which aquarium plants are planted. It is a unique combination of various substances. The bottom layer consists of 5-10 mm of Power Sand, which contains organic substances of plant origin and slowly releasing inorganic nutrients. They supply nutrients to the plants. Next is a layer of natural Aqua Soil. Its particles are delicate, and the high content of organic acids contributes to root development. The last layer is light sand, used as decorative sand in the foreground of the composition. The justification for using such varied materials is that this system allows for healthy plant growth and a natural appearance of the aquarium. Although the light sand does not contribute to plant growth like the Aqua Soil layer, it is used for decorative purposes. However, plant growth should not be allowed in this area as there are no conditions for their development.
