Removal of bacterial film

Infrequent water changes and overfeeding can cause biofilm (bacterial film) on the surface of aquarium water, as the regular suction tube of an external filter does not include the water surface in the filtration cycle. Bacterial film is a whitish layer of bacteria and fungi. It prevents maximum oxygenation of the water.

The surface filter JBL effectively removes or prevents the formation of bacterial film. By sucking in deep water, the surface filter can be used instead of the existing suction tube. The suction element automatically adjusts to the changing water level (e.g., in case of water evaporation).

Simple installation
Connect the surface filter JBL to the external filter instead of the existing suction tube. Secure the suction chamber with suction cups in the back corner of the aquarium. Use the adjustment lever to select the proportion of surface water suction and bottom filtration.

Elegant shape
The adjustment spindle can be removed from the device. The surface filter JBL has an elegant semi-circular shape and is suitable for hoses with a diameter from 9/12 to 16/22 mm.
