It is safe for shrimp, plecos, corydoras, and other bottom-dwelling animals.
Use in a "jar forest":
In mini glass gardens, gravel works well as a water drainage layer. It also serves a decorative function. When placed on top, it looks extremely stunning and natural. Additionally, gravel can be mixed with another type of substrate, increasing its volume and improving water exchange.
