River gravel is the safest substrate for aquariums and gardening, as it does not change the pH of water and soil, does not introduce excess macro and microelements, is completely resistant to the action of water, and does not change its properties over time.
Application in aquaristics:
Gravel works perfectly as an aquarium substrate. The roots of plants develop excellently in gravel with a granulation of 2 - 3mm. Additionally, it works well as a supplement to other aquarium substrates and serves a decorative role.
It is safe for shrimp, algae eaters, corydoras, and other bottom-dwelling animals.
Application in "jar garden":
In mini glass gardens, gravel works perfectly as a water drainage layer. It also serves a decorative function. When arranged on top, it looks incredibly stunning and natural. Additionally, gravel can be mixed with other types of substrate, increasing its volume and improving water exchange.
