Riverbed Sand, due to its soft surface, is ideal for keeping all turtles, toads, newts, crabs, and other amphibious animals. It is suitable for all burrowing animals.
A rough surface, such as gravel, can easily damage skin tissue. Exo-Terra river sand is very fine and can be easily excreted after ingestion, unlike gravel or pebbles, which can cause blockage.
Created over time in African rivers, Riverbed Sand is exceptionally fine and rounded, making it an ideal and safe substrate for any aqua-terrarium.
