How to prepare the substrate?
Mix with water to achieve a flowing consistency. The more liquid the mixture, the better you can cover the bottom of the terrarium, but it will take longer to dry. Leave it to dry. A faster drying process using, for example, heating lamps or a heating mat will enhance the effect of cracks. Once completely dry, you can add other decorations and introduce the gecko.
Leopard Gecko likes this substrate:
Because it is natural and similar to that of its natural habitat. And most importantly, it camouflages well on this substrate - meaning it feels safe.
Burrowing:
For some animals, this is a completely natural instinct. The Leopard Desert substrate allows them to do this, providing not only a lot of fun but also facilitating the work of little builders.
For all animals:
The clay contained in the mixture is rinsed - non-messy. Additionally, a suitable mixture of micro sand and quartz has been chosen to strengthen the structure and facilitate digging. This mixture is easy to use and completely safe for reptiles, insects, and other animals.
The substrate can be mixed with others.
The package contains 1kg of the mixture.
The substrate you receive may sometimes be slightly damp. This is a residue from washing its contents. It does not affect the creation of the desired desert.
