What is mangrove root? We often come across this term for various pieces of wood like those in this auction. However, it is worth knowing that classic Driftwood is not always actually a part of the root. It is generally a collection of wooden elements that have eroded in water over the years, changing their color but above all their shape and structure.

These unique driftwood roots have been naturally shaped by the process of water erosion, which has smoothed and formed them into their current, distinctive shapes. Erosion has given them an authentic texture and appearance that perfectly reflects the true beauty of nature.

Where is Philippines Classic Driftwood from?
As you might guess, our driftwood roots have been carefully collected mainly from rivers and lakes in the Philippines, but also from neighboring countries like Indonesia and Malaysia.

Safe and Eco-Friendly: Each piece of wood is thoroughly washed and boiled to ensure the absence of salt, bacteria, fungi, or pesticides, which guarantees complete safety for your fish.

Does it change the pH?
Yes, the roots have been prepared in such a way as to maintain their natural ability to lower the pH of the water, which is a great remedy for excessively high pH that often occurs in aquaristics. An ideal solution for planted aquariums, where the pH should be lower than neutral.

Is your water pH appropriate? No problem! Put the root in water for a few days to a couple of weeks and change the water often, and you will eliminate its water-softening properties.

Aesthetics and Functionality: These beautiful pieces of wood not only add charm and naturalness to the aquarium but also provide shelter and structure that are beneficial for aquatic life.
