What is mangrove root? We often encounter this term for various pieces of wood like in this auction. However, it is worth knowing that classic driftwood is not always part of a root. It is generally a collection of wooden elements that have eroded in water over the years, changing not only its color but primarily its shape and structure.

These unique driftwood roots have been naturally shaped by the process of water erosion, which has smoothed and formed them into their current, unique shapes. Erosion has given them an authentic texture and appearance that perfectly reflects the true beauty of nature.

Where is Philippines Classic Driftwood from?
As you might guess, our driftwood roots have been carefully collected mainly from rivers and lakes in the Philippines, as well as from neighboring countries like Indonesia and Malaysia.

Safe and Eco-Friendly: Each piece of wood is thoroughly washed and boiled to ensure there are no salts, bacteria, fungi, or pesticides, guaranteeing complete safety for your fish.

Does it change pH?
Yes, the roots have been prepared in such a way as to retain their natural ability to lower the pH of the water, which is a great remedy for excessively high pH levels that often occur in aquaristics. An ideal solution for planted aquariums, where the pH should be lower than neutral.

Is your water pH suitable? No problem! Place the root in water for several days to a couple of weeks and frequently change the water, and you will eliminate its water-softening properties.
