What is mangrove root? We often encounter this term referring to various pieces of wood like those in this auction. However, it is important to know that classic Driftwood is not always part of a root. It is generally a collection of wooden elements that have eroded in water over the years, changing not only their color but primarily their shape and structure.

These unique driftwood roots have been naturally shaped by the process of water erosion, which smoothed and formed them into their current, unique shapes. Erosion has given them an authentic texture and appearance that perfectly reflects the true beauty of nature.

Where is Philippines Classic Driftwood from?
As you might guess, our driftwood roots have been carefully collected mainly from rivers and lakes in the Philippines, but also from neighboring countries like Indonesia and Malaysia.

Safe and Eco-friendly: Each piece of wood is thoroughly washed and boiled to ensure the absence of salt, bacteria, fungi, or pesticides, guaranteeing complete safety for your fish.

Does it change pH?
Yes, the roots have been prepared in such a way as to retain their natural ability to lower the pH of the water, which is a great remedy for the often too high pH that occurs in aquaristics. An ideal solution for planted aquariums, where the pH should be lower than neutral.

Is your water pH appropriate? No problem! Place the root in water for several - several days and change the water frequently, and you will rid it of its water-softening properties.
