What is it for?
This is a strainer placed on the end of the inlet tube of the filter. Its main task is to prevent the smallest elements and aquarium animals from being drawn into the filter. 

How big is the mesh of the strainer?
The diameter of the mesh is less than 1mm. ( approx.0.7mm)

What is it made of?
The inlet is made of PETG material. This is a hard plastic characterized by exceptional durability, flexibility, and complete transparency.

Is possible. First, heat the end of the hose in boiling water. Wait until it becomes completely flexible. Slide it onto the NEo Inlet. This prepared connection does not require additional connectors or clamps.
