The Ecotech Vectra L2 is a line of state-of-the-art circulation pumps that set new standards for marine aquarium equipment. The world's smartest return pump can be scheduled, wirelessly provide updates on operation, and be automatically configured to work with a specific aquarium setup. The flow rate of the Ecotech Vectra L2 model is 11,500 l/h. The pump has many advantages: it can be set for automatic tank calibration. As a return pump, this smart feature prevents back siphoning when the pump is off and ensures neutral flow in power mode. At the same time, all Vectra pumps are compatible with ReefLink. ReefLink provides completely wireless access to the world of EcoSmart Live, EcoTech Marine's online aquarium command center. Vectra pumps are compatible with the EcoTech Battery Backup accessory.

Traditional AC pumps, used as return pumps for sumps, are flow-controlled using a throttling valve. This method of control is inherently inefficient for two reasons. The purchased AC pump often needs to be too powerful for a given setup to provide flexibility, and by adding artificial impedance to the flow, electrical energy is wasted. The Vectra pump will always operate at optimal efficiency, as there is no need to use a flow-restricting valve to achieve the desired flow rate.

When connected to ReefLink, the Vectra pump can send alerts regarding performance and status directly to your mobile device or computer. Your return pump is the heart of your aquarium; the sooner you hear about an unexpected problem, the more successful you will be as an aquarist.

Circulation Pump Modes
- Constant Speed: The constant speed mode is the default mode of the Vectra, which causes the pump to produce flow at a constant speed determined by the position of the dial. 

- Feed Mode: With the press of a button, the Vectra pump will temporarily pause the current mode and idle, allowing you to add food to the tank without switching to overflow and filtration.

- Speed Lock: Speed Lock allows you to lock in the desired pump speed by disabling the control dial, protecting against accidental and not-so-accidental unwanted speed changes.

Closed Loop Modes

- Random Lagoon: The random lagoon mode simulates a low-energy lagoon environment. The pump speed changes slowly to recreate gentle lagoon currents.
- Reef Crest Random: The Reef Crest Random mode simulates a high-energy reef environment. The pump will frequently and drastically change speed, simulating crashing waves and tides. This is a favorite for SPS corals.
- Gyre: The Gyre mode creates a flow pattern consisting of uniform flow levels rotating clockwise and counterclockwise, pulsing at a chosen interval from two seconds to two hours.
