Description
The substrate composition is entirely based on dried plants. It is environmentally friendly, creating a natural bedding that brings closer to the natural environment. The substrate is free from viruses, fungi, or bacteria. It contains a range of herbs and plants that support animal health.
Botanical Terrain is an incredibly absorbent substrate that is easy to clean or replace. The fresh natural scent of plants perfectly masks unpleasant odors.
Plant litter is suitable for digging and building networks of corridors or caves. It supports the natural behavior of animals by reducing stress and promotes reproductive behaviors.
Botanical Terrain, as the only product on the market, can serve as food for herbivores. Carnivores, in the case of accidental ingestion, will digest the substrate, which will provide the animal with vitamins and minerals.
They do not pose a risk of choking or suffocation.
The Botanical Terrain substrate contains:
Young nettle:It is valued for its diuretic, cleansing, and detoxifying properties and can help prevent urinary infections as well as improve the functioning of the pancreas, liver, and stomach. It may also strengthen the immune system and increase oxygen levels in the blood.
Cornflower:It contains compounds with antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, spasmolytic, diuretic, and vessel-strengthening properties; compounds with antibacterial, bile-stimulating effects, and stimulating the production of saliva and gastric juice; compounds with astringent, anti-inflammatory, hemostatic, and antioxidant effects; mineral salts, primarily large amounts of manganese – this element positively influences the functioning of the nervous system.
Dandelion:It helps reduce fluid retention in animals, as well as lowers blood pressure and blood sugar levels. Rich in magnesium, it is also helpful in treating urinary infections and supports liver function.
Raspberry leavesThe plant is an excellent source of vitamin C, manganese, vitamin B, folic acid, copper, and iron. Raspberries have the highest concentration of antioxidants among all fruits. This is due to the high concentration of ellagic acid, anthocyanins, gallic acid, quercetin, cyanidin, catechins, pelargonidin, kaempferol, and salicylic acid.
MarigoldThe above-ground parts of the plant are used to produce medications. It has anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties and is commonly used to strengthen the immune system. Marigold is used for digestive system problems, including loss of appetite, bloating, abdominal pain, colic, helminthiasis, and dysentery. It is also used for colds, mumps, and eye pain.
Hibiscus:The effects include lowering blood pressure, relaxing smooth muscles that make up, among other things, the walls of the digestive tract, antibacterial action, promoting bile production, anti-atherosclerotic effects, accelerating metabolism, and diuretic properties.
Rose PetalsDried rose petals provide a wealth of mineral nutrients and add a colorful and fragrant supplement to the diet of turtles. Herbal raw materials from rose petals, due to their high vitamin content, especially vitamin C, have a general strengthening effect. They are recommended for use during convalescence, in cases of weakness, fatigue, stress, colds, and during pregnancy. Flavonoids have a mild diuretic, bile-expelling, antioxidant effect, and stabilize the walls of capillaries, preventing bleeding from these vessels. The galactolipid found in the actual fruits has anti-inflammatory and anti-rheumatic properties. The anti-inflammatory effect is associated with the inhibition of leukocyte chemotaxis and a reduction in the concentration of creatinine and CRP proteins in plasma. The anti-inflammatory effect is comparable to that of synthetic non-steroidal drugs (e.g., acetylsalicylic acid), while rose preparations do not cause adverse effects.
HollyhockFlavonoids and anthocyanins from hibiscus have anti-inflammatory properties and stabilize the endothelial cells of blood vessels.Alwa has strong moisturizing properties, and the anthocyanins and flavonoids contained in it have anti-inflammatory effects.
Mix of dried grass: It perfectly absorbs odors and moisture. It cleanses the digestive system, taking care of its mucous membranes.
The package contains 10 liters of substrate.
