The offered egg candling device is powered by 3 x AAA batteries. The operation of the device should not pose any problems for anyone. The entire set of equipment allows for immediate use of the candler, without the need to purchase any additional elements.

This egg candling device provides adequate visibility of the developing embryo inside the egg.
The candler is equipped with a special high-efficiency LED that, without overheating, poses no threat to the eggs being candled. This solution is beneficial and much more effective than using a standard bulb.

Egg Inspection:

The first candling should be done after 7 days of incubation. It is essential to check all hatching eggs. Only after this time can the breeder verify if the egg has been fertilized. During candling, the development of the embryo can be checked. If the network of red veins is not visible, it means that the egg has not been fertilized and it must be removed. Unfertilized eggs left in the incubator where there is high humidity and temperature will quickly spoil, and the gases they emit can disrupt the development process of fertilized eggs.

After each week, all eggs should be checked again. It may happen that in some eggs the embryo has died due to reasons beyond our control, such as a weak embryo, genetic defects, or inbreeding. Such eggs must be removed immediately, as bacteria multiply in eggs where blood vessels have already formed. Failing to remove such eggs can result in the loss of the entire hatch.

The last egg inspection should take place about 3-4 days before hatching, at the moment when we stop turning the eggs. We remove from the incubator the eggs that show signs of embryo death and where no visible movements of the chicks are present.

When inspecting the eggs, attention should also be paid to the size of the air cell in the egg, to check whether the appropriate humidity level is maintained in the incubator. This, along with temperature, is the most important factor determining the success of incubation.
In a fresh egg, the air cell is very small, while over time it increases proportionally to the length of incubation. If the air cell is too large, it may indicate that the egg has lost too much water. In that case, it is necessary to increase the humidity inside the incubator. Conversely, if the air cell is too small, the humidity should be decreased.

The offered candler ZECO was produced by the renowned company Super Reptile.
