1. Micranthemum 'Monte Carlo'
A plant with delicate, round leaves that creates a dense, green carpet in the foreground of the aquarium. 'Monte Carlo' is relatively easy to grow and adapts well to various water conditions. Ideal for beginner aquarists due to its resilience and low requirements. This plant propagates through runners, allowing for quick and easy creation of lush green surfaces. Regular trimming encourages denser growth and maintains a low profile, enhancing the aesthetics of any tank.
2. Myriophyllum mattogrossense
It captivates with its delicate structure, resembling underwater plumes. This plant is perfect for creating natural, vertical accents in the aquarium, adding depth and contrast to the arrangement. Its vibrant green color and dynamic growth make it not only a beautiful but also a functional addition to any tank, supporting the ecosystem through oxygen production and providing hiding spots for small fish and shrimp. Myriophyllum mattogrossense requires moderate lighting and regular trimming to maintain its attractive appearance and healthy growth.
3. Salvina Natans - floating plant
In many ways, it differs significantly from typical floating plants. Firstly: the leaves grow alternately along the stem, creating an elongated plant resembling a fern. Additionally, the upper side of the leaves is covered with tiny hairs, which look extremely striking. This plant reproduces very quickly, decorating any aquarium. It does not require nutrient-rich substrate or fertilization. It reduces the causes of algae formation.
The aforementioned plants will quickly grow and take on their target shapes (except for Salvina, which is already mature).
The plants in this set should be treated as cuttings for further cultivation and propagation.
How to prepare plants 1 and 2 for planting?
- remove the plant from the bag and clean the roots of any remaining gel from which the plants were grown
- rinse the plant under running water
- divide the plants into smaller parts as desired, but it is not necessary
- place them in the aquarium substrate
How to prepare Salvina for placement in the aquarium?
Simply remove it from the bag and place it on the water surface with the hairs facing up.
