Hygrophila Aristata:
This plant grows and reproduces quickly. Its growth is closely linked to the removal of harmful compounds from the water. Therefore, let it grow and do its thing, and remove older leaves or excess whole plants from the tank at your discretion. Hygrophila is appreciated not only by aquarists but also by wastewater treatment plant employees. It turns out that this little plant absorbs harmful compounds so effectively that it is used to purify everything that flows from our households. And what do we aquarists get from this? Clean, treated water free of all kinds of unfriendly elements, and additionally, protection against algae.
The plant reproduces by branching. You can freely divide the plant into smaller pieces.
A unique among floating plants:
Even if there were a thousand plants floating in a tank - you will immediately recognize hygrophila. It is the only one with long, flattened leaves that typically grow oppositely on a strong stem.
Not just for aquariums!
It will also work great in paludariums or terrariums. The plant can be partially out of the water. Additionally, you can place the plant in a pond or water feature.
