Eco Plant Limnobium Spongia - floating plant
Although it is a close relative of the popular Limnobium Laevigatum, in many ways it is almost its opposite. It has all the advantages of a floating plant, like its cousin, but where the popular Limnobium Laevigatum shows weakness, Limnobium Spongia thrives.

Description
Limnobium Spongia is a floating plant with a unique structure. The leaves of this plant can be very thick with a "spongy" structure, which is where the name of this variety comes from. The different leaf structure significantly affects the plant's condition and its ability to absorb harmful compounds. Compared to the popular Limnobium Laevigatum, it is much more resilient and resistant to any changes in water pH or its chemical composition. It shows greater resistance to splashes and dripping water, and additionally, due to its "inflated" structure, it is practically unsinkable. The larger leaf requires more nutrients, which are considered harmful in the aquarium, thus it cleans the aquarium even better from all troublesome nitrates, etc., that cause algae.
The plant is very easy to cultivate. It does not require any care from the aquarist. Its rapid growth and reproduction depend on the amount of harmful compounds present in the water. The more there are, the faster it will act.
When you purchase, you will receive one cutting with 3 - 7 leaves (other sellers divide the leaves claiming they are separate cuttings - we do not torture plants like that. We let them grow as they wish)
Such a cutting measures from 3x3 cm to 6x6 cm.
