Unique appearance:
The leaves are almost perfectly round and resemble five-cent coins floating on the water's surface, growing around the nodes along the central stem. The leaves will float on the water while the lush roots hang below the surface. Unlike many other floating plants, the roots are dark red and look much more attractive. Red Root Floaters can produce delicate white flowers in the leaf axils if given the right conditions.
Easy cultivation:
Red Root Floaters are not only pleasing to the eye but also extremely easy to care for. Aquarium substrate is not required for this plant, nor is fertilization or CO2. To "plant," simply place them on the water's surface and let them do their thing.
To achieve deep red coloration, this plant will need a higher dose of iron.
Not just for aquariums, but also for paludariums
Although this little plant is known for colonizing the water's surface, it can also grow in muddy and moist substrates. Place the leaves in flooded or consistently damp soil, and it will reward you with rapid growth and good health.
Where can it be found in nature?
In nature, they can be found in tropical, standing water habitats such as channels and rivers in South America.
How many plants do we send:
When purchasing Red Root Floaters from this offer, you will receive 5 plants, each with 3 - 5 leaves. This is an ideal amount to start, as these plants can reproduce quickly under the right conditions.
