A plant with large broad leaves. Each stem has one large leaf resembling an umbrella or a mushroom (a chantarelle - but green). The plant shrinks slightly in water, but it is still much larger than the popular hydrocotyle japan.

Hydrocotyle verticillata can also be planted outside of water.
