Staurogyne Repens is a low-growing aquatic plant native to South America. It is a versatile plant and can be used in the foreground or midground. With strong lighting, the plant grows in dense low bushes. In lower lighting, it may stretch upwards significantly.

Staurogyne Repens thrives outside of aquatic environments. It can be planted in a forest in a jar, terrarium, and paludarium.


The plant can be easily propagated by trimming and inserting new cuttings into the substrate. The substrate should contain a good amount of macro and micronutrients. It is recommended to use fertilizers such as Neo Tabs Plant Tabs and Neo Tabs K.

When planting, clumps should be spaced 2.5 cm apart to encourage faster growth.

The addition of CO2 and soft water will significantly accelerate growth. This plant can grow quickly and will require regular trimming when grown under suitable conditions.
