ADA ECA Plus 50ml - improves the growth and coloration of plants

Special properties of ECA: 

The organic acid enhances the activity of bacteria and plant growth, thus improving the overall conditions in the aquarium. Iron helps plants in the formation of pigments essential for the photosynthesis process, such as chlorophyll. It prevents issues like the whitening of new buds and the fading of leaf colors. It also stimulates the development of new buds by activating various enzymes responsible for metabolism in aquatic plants.


Dosage: 

(1) Regular dosage:
To prevent color loss in young buds and stimulate bacterial activity, use 2 drops of ECA for every 5 liters of water (24 drops for a 60-liter aquarium) once a week. To evenly distribute ECA (which is denser than water) in the aquarium, use the water flow from the filter.

(2) Treatment for color loss or whitening of leaves:
In case of whitening of new buds, e.g., in Eleocharis or Echinodorus, or loss of color in reddish plant stems, use 2 drops of ECA for every 5 liters of water (24 drops for a 60-liter aquarium) every day. Carefully observe the new buds. When the color of the developing buds is normal, return to the regular dosage "(1)".

(3) Use in conjunction with other additives/liquid fertilizers:
Trace elements such as iron or manganese are essential for the healthy growth of aquatic plants. ECA is rich in iron, one of the most desired elements by plants, but ECA does not provide all necessary elements. Therefore, increased effects of ECA are achieved when used with other additives and fertilizers. An example suited for a moderately planted aquarium (mainly with stem plants). Along with the daily dose of GREEN BRIGHTY K, add ECA according to the regular dosage guidelines (1). For plants such as Eusteralis stellata with slow-growing new buds, use GREEN GAIN with every water change (according to instructions) and ECA according to dosage (2).


Notes:

ECA, after application, changes the color of the water to brown. This is normal. It is not recommended to use ECA in an aquarium where there has been a dense growth of algae, even though ECA itself does not promote their growth. Excessive amounts of iron accumulated in the aquarium can damage aquatic plants. When using ECA, regular water changes should be made (1/3 of the water once a week).
