The preparation is a source of many trace elements, essential for the proper development and health of fish. Aquarium salt is often used to supplement deficiencies of various elements in the water. Some fish tolerate this, others do not. Discus fish, like plants, are particularly sensitive to elevated sodium levels in the water. "Discus Trace" is a carefully formulated product, free from sodium, containing trace elements. Its purpose is to supplement deficiencies of trace and ultra-trace elements, essential for proper development and health of fish.
