Residues of plants, food, and metabolic products deteriorate the quality of aquarium water. Good water quality is essential for enhancing the health of fish and plants in the aquarium. This can be achieved through various filters and different filtration materials. Filters suck in aquarium water and extract pollutants and waste substances from the water through the filtration materials.

The set consists of round foam inserts for JBL CristalProfi e filter baskets, which contain a mesh with special filtration material inside. The main water flow in the filter passes through the outer layer of foam, while a slowed-down, smaller water flow passes through the filtration mesh in the middle. This special filtration material can perfectly bind problematic substances such as nitrites, nitrates, and phosphates and remove them from the water. Water tests can easily determine when the set needs to be replaced with a new one.

- Nitrites (NO2) are hemotoxins for fish, which can cause fish death from 0.4 mg/l
- Nitrates (NO3) are non-toxic, but from 20 mg/l as a nutrient, they promote the growth of all types of algae (except diatoms)
- Phosphates (PO4) are also non-toxic, but from 0.3 mg/l they support the growth of all types of algae (except diatoms)

Included in the set: 1 set with a nitrite, nitrate, and phosphate absorber and 2 sponge inserts stacked one on top of the other with a round indentation for the filtration mesh
