Moss Terrario is natural, locally sourced - Sphagnum Moss. The specially sealed packaging ensures you receive the highest quality moss. This is a completely different product than dried, pressed sphagnum or, worse, dyed reindeer moss. Amazonia Moss is not only suitable as a moist substrate, but also serves as a great decoration. It provides hiding places, stress-free molting spots, and is ideal for burrowing and digging animals; it also works well as a substrate for laying and hatching eggs. It is safe for reptiles, amphibians, crustaceans, and mammals.
Safety and freshness of substrates from the Heart of the Jungle series:
The producer Terrario makes every effort to ensure that the substrate reaches you freshly "harvested." Long storage times can adversely affect plant substrates. Therefore, Terrario is the only one using fast airlines to collect the substrate from its place of natural origin. The substrates are sterilized with UV-C light, making them free from fungi, bacteria, and fungal and mold spores. They do not contain artificial dyes, fertilizers, aerators, or preservatives.
Amazonia Moss substrate:
The terrarium substrates currently available on the market are artificially prepared mosses, usually sold by weight. They are almost always artificially dyed in various shades of the rainbow. Alternatively, one can purchase pressed moss, which has a completely different characteristic. Only Amazonia Moss from Terrario is 100% natural moss free from artificial dyes, stabilizers, and other chemical or "natural" agents. In addition to sterility, it provides good decor for the terrarium. Moreover, it poses no risk if ingested.
Volume and care:
The moss is dried, which guarantees 100% efficiency in water absorption. After unpacking, the moss should be pulled apart into individual plants. This way, the moss has the best properties. After "pulling apart," you usually get over 6 liters of substrate. The moss can be misted or even fully soaked before placing it in the terrarium.
