What is Carpet Mat substrate?
It is an ideal substrate base with universal applications. It absorbs moisture well, keeping the terrarium clean and providing adequate humidity. It is resistant to extremely high temperatures. Due to its hygroscopic properties, it absorbs animal urine effectively.
Does it pose a threat to reptiles or amphibians?
The substrate is completely safe. It does not cause irritation, has a neutral pH, does not dust, and does not crumble. Using Carpet Mat substrate eliminates the risk of animals getting stuck, which can happen with sand or coconut chips.
How to keep the substrate clean and does it need to be replaced?
In case of heavy soiling, it is enough to rinse the substrate under running water. There is no need to replace the substrate with a new one.
How to fit the substrate to the terrarium?
The substrate has dimensions of 90x45cm. It can be easily cut to any terrarium size. After cutting, simply place it in the terrarium and position it on the bottom.
