Aquaforest Reef Salt 4kg Box - marine aquarium salt
Synthetic sea salt created with coral breeding in mind. The composition of the salt has been carefully selected to create the best possible conditions for marine animals. The micro and macro elements contained in it fully meet the coral's demand for the elements necessary for their proper growth and coloration. When setting up new aquariums, we recommend introducing the first animals no sooner than 10-14 days after filling the tank.

Description
Preparation method: salt should be dissolved in prepared demineralized water. The water temperature should be about 24°C. To achieve a salinity of 33 ppt (1.025 S.G.), about 390 g/10 l of water should be dissolved. The solution should be mixed vigorously for about 15 minutes. Once fully dissolved and clarity is achieved, the salted water is ready for use. Salt should be stored in a dry, shaded place. Dissolved salt should be used within 5 days. Evaporation alters the water parameters, so store the prepared brine tightly sealed. If you store the prepared brine for several days, check its salinity before use. Keep out of reach of children. Product for use only in aquariums. Not suitable for consumption. Safety data sheet available upon request.
Good to know: Products Aquaforest are created in the European Union under strictly controlled laboratory conditions to meet the highest quality standards. Each product is made from carefully selected raw components/materials in quantities that ensure a consistent composition. Each of our batches is tested by ICP-OES before salt packaging. Since May 2017, we have introduced the ability for customers to view results online.
How is sea salt tested? We mix our sea salt (each batch weighing 1 ton – 2204 pounds), taking 3 separate samples from each batch during production for testing. Each of these samples is dissolved in 15 liters (4 US gal) of RO water. Our team performs ICP-OES analysis to check if the chemical composition is homogeneous and to exclude the presence of undesirable contaminants. Note: Even if we mix the salt thoroughly, the composition of the packaging/containers may not be identical. Parameters in the containers may vary slightly, and a difference of 2-3% is acceptable. These differences arise due to the different physical properties of the mixture and the limitations of available processing techniques. However, the measurement deviations are smaller than the typical tolerance range for tests commonly used by hobbyists.
