About the plant Hygrophila 'Tiger' :
An interesting variety of the popular Hygrophila. It has long, flattened leaves, a strong stem, and robust roots. It definitely prefers fertile substrate and a high amount of iron in the water and soil. Tiger has "striped" leaves. The color of the leaves depends on the amount of light and iron. The more iron, the more reddish-brown the color becomes. The more light, the lighter the leaves turn, up to pink. A resilient plant recommended for beginners.
Propagation is simple; just cut or tear off the rhizomes to reattach them.
