Description
About the plant Littorella Uniflora:
The low-growing plant - Littorella Uniflora, is quite an interesting aquarium plant in hobby. It is generally easy to maintain and can be grown fully submerged or in an emergent form. It will adapt to various conditions in the aquarium, including lower water temperatures.
Like all species of aquatic plants, this aquatic plant will fare much better when provided with high-quality aquarium lighting, clean water, and appropriate fertilization. Littorella Uniflora propagates by sending out runners, creating a carpet in the foreground of the aquarium; however, growth will be quite slow. If patience is not an issue, this aquatic plant will provide an interesting carpet of thick, fleshy leaves and will be a beautiful addition to any aquarium.
The substrate should have a considerable amount of macro and microelements.
When planting, clumps should be spaced 2.5cm apart to encourage faster growth.
The addition of CO2 and soft water will significantly accelerate growth. This plant can grow quickly and will require regular trimming when cultivated under the right conditions.
