About the plant Alternanthera Reineckii Variegated:
It is also known as Alternanthera Cardinalis, but that is not its scientific name.
An incredibly vividly colored plant. It has red leaves on the underside with dark green on top. Its coloration can range from pink through red to deep purple.
It is somewhat less demanding than its sister subspecies.
Careful trimming allows you to create a dense red-purple carpet with a height of 5 to 10 cm. You can also use it as a background or mid-ground plant.
You can let it grow even above the water surface, and it will reward you with beautiful flowers - it's truly a wonderful sight!
The plant does well when planted out of water. However, it should be misted frequently.
