About the plant Hydrocotyle Japan:
The plant gained popularity thanks to the famous aquarist Takashi Amano. It is a versatile plant with a wide range of uses. It is one of the more popular lawn and background plants. Particularly recommended for beginner aquarists due to its high resilience to various conditions in the aquarium.

The plant grows quickly under good conditions. It creates a dense lawn with high lighting. Under lower lighting, when planted in clumps, it is suitable for the background. Hydrocotyle does well when planted on, for example, roots.

Hydrocotyle will also thrive in a terrarium with high humidity. However, its roots should be in water.

A high concentration of iron will cause the plant to turn red. Therefore, it is recommended to use Neo Tabs Plant K and Neo Tabs Plant Tabs for proper growth.

The plant can be easily propagated by trimming and placing new cuttings into the substrate. The substrate should contain a significant amount of macro and micronutrients.

When planting, the clumps should be spaced 2.5 cm apart to encourage faster growth.

The addition of CO2 and soft water will significantly accelerate growth. This plant can grow quickly and will require regular trimming when grown in appropriate conditions.
