The LED lamp LEDDY SLIM DUO 10W Sunny Plant is designed for illuminating freshwater open tanks with a length of 20 to 30 cm. It contains two rows of diodes with a total power of 10 W (2x5 W). Half of the diodes are SUNNY, emitting light similar to sunlight (color temperature 7000 K), while the other half are PLANT diodes specifically developed for the needs of plants (color temperature 9000 K). The lamp perfectly reproduces the colors inside the tank and supports rapid, uninterrupted plant growth. It is ideal for small plant aquariums and shrimp tanks. Its flat, futuristic shape and trendy white color make it blend perfectly with modern aquarium setups and look great in any interior. Additionally, it is versatile – it can also be installed on tanks of non-standard sizes.
Why do we light up the aquarium?
There are usually two reasons. Firstly, the tank should look nice, i.e., natural. The light should ensure that the fish and plants have beautiful, species-appropriate colors, making the overall appearance an undeniable decoration of the room. The second goal is equally important – the vast majority of aquarists want to have healthy, well-growing plants in the aquarium. And plants need light for growth for 10-12 hours a day, as it serves as the "drive" for photosynthesis – a natural process through which they convert inorganic compounds into organic substances necessary for their life. Therefore, properly selected light must guarantee that the aquarium will look nice while the plants will thrive in it.
