Substrate filtration:
Substrate filters use aquarium substrate as filtration media. The filter draws water from the tank, which passes through a layer of sand, active substrate, or a natural mix such as ECO PLANT. During this process, both organic and inorganic pollutants are drawn into the roots of the plants, helping to nourish them. The substrate is constantly cleaned of any contaminants such as fish waste or plant residues.
Assembling the filter like LEGO blocks:
The filter grid consists of individual elements measuring 14x7cm. You can freely connect them, thus adapting the dimensions of the substrate filter to your aquarium. After assembling, you can cut off the excess connectors to achieve precise dimensions. NOTE! Individual blocks can also be connected perpendicular to each other!
How is it powered?
Standardly, the set includes hoses with aeration stones. These accessories are placed in the water outlet tube. By connecting an aerator (the aerator is not part of the set), you force water movement.
Water outlets:
This model has two outlets. Each of them is telescopic - you can adjust its height from 30 to 50cm. The end can be freely rotated 360 degrees.
