Under-gravel filtration:
Under-gravel filters use aquarium substrate as filtration media. The filter draws water from the tank, which passes through a layer of sand, active substrate, or a natural mixture, such as ECO PLANT. During this process, both organic and inorganic impurities are drawn into the roots of the plants, helping to nourish them. The substrate is continuously cleaned of all impurities, such as fish waste or plant remains.
Assembling the filter like LEGO blocks:
The filter grid consists of individual elements measuring 14x7cm. You can freely combine them, thus adjusting the dimensions of the under-gravel filter to fit your aquarium. After assembling, you can cut off excess connectors to achieve precise dimensions. NOTE! The individual blocks can also be connected perpendicularly to each other!
How is it powered?
Standardly, a hose with an air stone is included in the set. These accessories are placed in the water outlet tube. By connecting the aerator (the aerator is not part of the set), you force the movement of the water.
Water outlets:
It is telescopic - you can adjust its height from 30 to 50cm. The end can be freely rotated 360 degrees.
