Substrate Filtration:
Substrate filters use aquarium substrate as the filtration medium. The filter draws water from the tank, which passes through a layer of sand, active substrate, or a natural mix such as ECO PLANT. During this process, both organic and inorganic impurities are drawn to the roots of the plants, helping to nourish them. The substrate is continuously cleaned of all contaminants such as fish waste or plant residues.
Assembling the filter like LEGO blocks:
The filter grid consists of individual elements measuring 14x7cm. You can freely connect them, thus adapting the dimensions of the substrate filter to your aquarium. After assembling, you can cut off any excess connectors to achieve precise dimensions. NOTE! Individual blocks can also be connected perpendicularly to each other!
How is it powered?
Standardly, a hose with an air stone is included in the set. These accessories are placed in the water outlet tube. By connecting the aerator (the aerator is not part of the set), you force the movement of water.
Water Outlets:
It is telescopic - you can adjust its height from 30 to 50cm. The tip can be freely rotated 360 degrees.
