What is it made of?

The steel one is resistant to damage, but it is not transparent, is expensive, and hard to clean.
The glass one is nice, but it is very fragile and expensive.

Why should the skimmer be at the water outlet?
Disadvantages of a skimmer at the inlet. An eternal problem in aquaristics:

Glass holder:
The set includes two pieces. Like the other parts, it is completely transparent and durable. It provides a strong and secure grip on the tubes. It fits glass thicknesses from 14 to 4mm.
Aerator included:
The skimmer is designed to simultaneously inject air into the water. Inside, there is a slanted tube that you can adjust the aeration efficiency by rotating. If you turn it completely, you can completely turn off the aeration.
Water flow dispersing nozzle:
At any moment, you can attach a dispersing basket to the outlet. It has a unique round shape that perfectly dampens the flow. Moreover, you can freely adjust how much water and in which direction it flows, thanks to the rotating tip and the ability to extend the damping covers.
