The principle is very simple. The insulation mat prevents heat emitted by the mat from being wasted. But that's not all. The aluminum covering reflects the infrared radiation emitted by the heating mat, thereby increasing the heating power.

- How to find the right one?
It's simple. HeatArmor has a designation in its name, e.g.: Terrario HeatArmor 5W - this means that the appropriate heating mat is a standard 5W mat (e.g., from Terrario or Repti-Zoo)
Similarly: HeatArmor 7W - equivalent to a 7W heating mat; HeatArmor 35W - equivalent to a 35W heating mat, and so on.

How is HeatArmor constructed?

The internal layer consists of polyethylene foam. This foam provides excellent thermal insulation, preventing the waste of thermal energy.
The outer layers are made of high-strength aluminum foil with increased thickness. This layer reflects infrared radiation, reducing losses and strengthening the thermal beam.
