Description
Biogrunt:
A substrate with high porosity and nutrient content. It does not change the pH of water and soil and is resistant to the effects of time and water.
Application in aquariums:
A well-known substrate among aquarists, it has been proving its worth in thousands of demanding tanks for many years, ensuring their safety and proper functioning over long periods.
Biogrunt Standard is the foundation of biological activity in the substrate. It is the main reservoir of macro and microelements in the tank, responsible for the proper reduction of organic matter and thus guarantees the safety of the entire aquarium.
Proper decomposition of organic matter allows vegetation access to a full range of nutrients, extending the time of proper functioning of the entire micro-ecosystem that is the aquarium. It facilitates the maturing of the aquarium, intensifies plant growth, accelerates the process of plant rooting, delays the aging processes of the aquarium, and is an excellent habitat for the bacterial flora of the substrate.
How to use Biogrunt in aquariums?
Cover the aquarium bottom with about 3-4 centimeters of Biogrunt, then level it, lay a PVC net and cover it with a 5-centimeter layer of quartz gravel sized 2-4 mm. DO NOT RINSE BIOGRUNT!
Application in "forest in a jar":
Biogrunt is a professional drainage in a vase. It maintains the soil at the proper moisture level without risking plant root rot or drying out.
Why Biogrunt and not expanded clay?
Expanded clay owes its popularity due to its low price, which is significant in large-scale gardening. However, in a small forest in a jar, the price differences will not be noticeable, so it is better to use professional drainage.
Besides its draining properties, Biogrunt also has increased resistance to long-lasting water exposure, keeping the forest in a jar in excellent condition for a long time. Additionally, it contains macro and microelements, which are natural building blocks for plants.
