Overflow Protection
To avoid overflowing the skimmer, it is important to ensure proper protection for this device. The skimmer collects all impurities and waste that can be harmful to aquarium water and the organisms living in the tank. In the event of an overflow from the skimmer cup, all these substances can be introduced into the water, which can lead to destabilization of the tank and the need to rectify the problem. Therefore, it is crucial to ensure proper protection for the skimmer using a sensor.
Monitoring Pollution Levels
This incredibly simple and effective product is equipped with an optical "eye" that should be placed outside the skimmer cup and a sight glass inside the cup. Both components are fitted with magnets, allowing for easy attachment. This enables the device to continuously monitor the pollution level in the cup. If the pollution level reaches the sight glass, the skimmer will be immediately turned off. When the dirt level drops, the skimmer will automatically restart.
Simple Communication
Information about issues with the device's operation and about the fullness of the cup will be conveyed through flashing LED lights in green, yellow, and red.
How to Install and Activate the Sensor?
The sensor probe should be placed on the inside of the collection container and secured with a magnet on the outside. Then connect the water pump to the socket. The foam above the sensor probe will be automatically turned off. The socket will automatically restore power when the foam height is lower than the sensor.
The touch switch is used for manual control of turning the power to the socket on and off. The sensor and magnet can only be used with colorless and transparent materials.
