Protect yourself from overflow of the skimmer:
As you probably know, all impurities accumulate in the skimmer cup. They are collected there in a concentrated form, so to speak. This entire range of pollutants, elements, and compounds will end up in the aquarium water in the event of an overflow from the skimmer cup. The consequences of this incident can be dire. It will definitely cause a significant destabilization of the tank and long days of work to resolve this issue. This entails costs, work, and problems. If you are exceptionally lucky, your corals won't die and your fish won't perish, but unfortunately, it usually goes the other way... In a word: a nightmare that won't let you sleep.
Smart Skimmer Security - sees the level of pollution in the cup:
This simple yet effective product comes with an optical "eye" that you place on the outside of the cup, and a sight glass inside. Both elements are equipped with magnets, making them easy to install, as they hold themselves in place. The device constantly monitors the level of pollution. If the dirt level reaches the sight glass, the skimmer will be automatically and immediately turned off. When the dirt level drops, the skimmer will start working again.
Delay switch:
In the event of a power outage, the water in the sump will rise. When the power returns, everything turns on, including the skimmer, which will immediately overflow. Therefore, the delay switch serves as an additional safeguard. The skimmer will only be activated two minutes after power returns to the socket.
Communication with the user - audible and visual alarms.
You will be informed of operational errors, full cup, and the temporary operation of the delay switch by flashing lights on the socket in red and blue colors, respectively. Additionally, you will hear an audible alarm corresponding to the type of alert.
How to set it all up?
The set is ready to use (plug&play).
- Place the eye on the cup. The conical sight is inside, and the sensor (the part with the cable) is on the outside - the sensor and sight are magnetically mounted. Choose the appropriate level for collecting impurities, that is, the height of the eye installation. From now on, this will be your safety line against overflow. You don't need to cut or drill the skimmer cup. Everything is installed non-invasively!
- Socket - you will connect your skimmer to it. This is the heart of the system. It turns the skimmer on and off and communicates alarms.
